High-Tech Health Products Star at China's Services Trade Fair
The 2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) featured game-changing hardware and software for home fitness enthusiasts and medical professionals, including those practicing traditional Chinese medicine. This technology is driven by data and artificial intelligence, and it has become one of the most popular attractions for visitors.
The 7,700 square meter healthcare service exhibition zone at CIFTIS has exhibitors showcasing their goods for public health and epidemic prevention, biomedicine and cutting-edge medicine, digital medicine, smart healthcare, and conventional medicine.
One of the most eye-catching products at the exhibition is a virtual personal trainer, which caters to busy people who may not have time to go to the gym.
The mirror-like gadget may be connected to a user's smartphone to allow access to a number of virtual instructors who conduct training sessions on-screen. The program may receive data from wearable devices that track a user's heart rate and other parameters and use that information to evaluate their performance and suggest alternate training regimens.
Wearable devices that monitor a user's heartbeat and other metrics can share data with the software which then uses artificial intelligence to score users' performance and recommend different exercise routines.
"The device can record your fitness data in a real-time video image in the system, and then it will give you a comprehensive evaluation of the fitness effect after data is processed," said exhibitor Bai He.
By accumulating information about diverse medicinal components, combinations, and preparations—which were formerly the domain of traditional medicine practitioners—end users of the program can become more knowledgeable about the therapies they are taking.
As explained by exhibitor Yan Wenyuan, "Each bag of medicine has a QR code on the top of the packaging, so patients may scan this code to understand the quality data, its factory information, as well as its manufacturing date and other details."
